The long wait has finally come to an end. These are high quality reproductions with the exact OEM specifications. These are made of ALUMINUM -just like the factory ones- and come with small reflector and black slats preinstalled (From the factory, all round tail light 2002’s (1968 through 1973) had seven of the nine slats “blacked out”). Later on we will have the grilles without the slats preinstalled (they will come separately) From 1970-ish through 1973, BMW used black anodized slat covers (OEM# 51131817840) to black out the seven slats on each side.
These fit the early 2002's with round tail lights that were built from 1966 to August of 1973.The price includes both left and right grilles, the reflectors and the slats. 
 
The latest update we have from BMW is that they decided to discontinue the production of the original right side grille so most likely this will happen with the left side too but who knows...
