The box was completely taken apart, cleaned with vapor honing, and carefully checked. The worm gear and roller show no pitting or damage. Both seals and the top gasket were replaced. The worn worm gear spacers were swapped for stainless steel ones. All hardware is brand-new, and the steering arm nut has a cadmium coating. The box has some 80W-90 oil inside and just needs to be topped up. It’s fully adjustable and ready for many more years of service.
